What is International Strategic Zone?
In 2011, seven areas in Japan including Tsukuba are designated as International Strategic Zone.
International Strategic Zones commit to industrial promotion given advantage on regulatory standards requirement/ financial help from governmental body and local autonomy.
Area of Tsukuba International Strategic Zone
- Entire Tsukuba City (all area)
- Tsukuba-no-sato Industrial Park in Ryugasaki City
- Tokai-mura Hospital, Japan Atomic Energy Agency and
Ibaraki Neutron Medical Research Center in Tokai-mura, Naka-gun - Ibaraki Prefectural University of Health Sciences and
its University Hospital in Ami-machi, Inashiki-gun
